It is with great regret to confirm, that after guidance from the ECB based on Government advice, all cricketing activities have been suspended indefinitely. This includes all training, matches and social gatherings. The Clubhouse will now also be out of bounds for groups for the foreseeable future.

I would personally like to assure all of our Members, Supporters and Community Groups who rely on our facilities that the Club remains financially secure for the immediate future but planned improvements and purchases have been put on hold.

Membership for the forthcoming season is now due but fees and offers will be reviewed imminently, knowing that the immediate cricketing landscape will change significantly during the next 6 months. However, renewing your Membership will still be vital in maintaining the governance and financial safety net of the Club to ensure we are ready for any challenges the future may bring.

At this moment in time, we do not know how this ECB announcement will affect the shape of the league season, All Stars Cricket or Dynamos Cricket but we will provide updates as soon as we can.

For the moment we will continue to go quietly about our business during these unprecedented times and explore how we can contribute to the Community efforts to maintain a sense of normality.

With normality in mind, I hope we can all grace The Common again soon.

Best Wishes,

Dan Porter
Hon. Chairman – Stock Cricket Club
